Sorry it's out of subject but I just need to say it : Therapy dogs help people in nursery homes, hospitals.. they don't assist disabled people. They don't have public access. They aren't specially train to do anything except give love to people in hospitals and such. They do zootherapy. I think what you meant is a service dog , those are specially trained to assist their disabled handlers, have public access and everything.

i would be getting a service dog for my depression and such which in my head makes them a therapy dog.

Sadly I'm not interested in adopting any character I just thought it looked cute so I clicked on it when it appeared on the front page and ended up reading the description. As a service dog user I just wanted to make sure you went in the right direction for your companion.

my parents decided i am not disabled enough to get one and so i am back at square one for getting help once again oh well

This sucks! But don't give up dearie, there's plenty of way to overcome our mental illnesses. Service dogs should always be our last option since they don't encourage recovery. But good luck on finding a way to recovery <3
