I... wasn't aware there was a contest, but I'm just delighted to hear you requiring people to think critically about the _design content_. I'm astonished by how oblivious people can usually be to it inside what is essentially the biggest character design community in the universe. I found the design of no. 22 very compelling. "Quidel the Kindle?" By Soulman7? Good artist too, but I don't see a listing for the name on furaffinity. Where can I find more of his work?
Numbers 32 and 41 would've gotten my votes entirely.
For the first one, it's rare to see a design where something different is utilized to a specific or a certain theme without a little bit of creativity in mind (or unless you are a japanese mangaka artist who knows a thing or two about designing) and the artist in design managed to do just that.
For the second one, the head-design admittedly got me instantly: it looks fierce and beastly, which would certainly make a being of fire stand out as "rawsome" and powerful at the same time.
