The Archon hold a both practical and ceremonial position in Xinaran society. The are the closest of any caste to what could be considered knights. Their signature shields are a mix of both energy deflector technology and ablative armor.

They serve to handle both minor legal disputes, and many serve as a township's arbiter, but when needed and assembled are a vicious and precise fighting force. The shields are made to a specific Xinaran's specifications and presented to the Archon when inducted into their ranks.
