Just when we get Storm off to school, here comes a little half brother, Elliott. If it wasn't from walking over to the old house to check there water bucket, we would have never discovered him. A little buck fawn who was born way late from Dixie, and from looking at the face it wasn't hard to tell who his daddy is. Yep, the Lexx.
I decided to rescue him after I found him basically covered in dry placenta which is a fire ant magnet. It's supposed to be around 104 tomorrow and threw the weekend, and with the bucks now being in hard rack, I didn't want to take the chance of loosing this little fallow. So he was pulled in, and cleaned up, and was giving his first colostrum on which I'm going to have to get more of tomorrow.
