GORGEOUS! Wow, you really went to town on this, didn't ya? All that cool backlighting on his wings (although, ... pink?), and of course, clouds. With a wingtip dipping into them, and the parting of clouds at his thigh ... coooool. And I like what you did with the cloud shadows. It makes me wonder what it would be like to look up and instead of seeing a cloud darkening the yard, it's a giant tail tip. ;)
Also, good catch on the gradient in the sky. At that altitude, it fades near to black very quickly, even at that time of day. I love flying high. That's why I live in Colorado. ;)

I'm so stoked you like it! I wanted his wings to read as fleshy; like if you look at a bat's wings or a human's ear with light shining behind it, they're both pretty red. The pinkness was meant to be a much more "white" version of the red that shines through the skin. I may tweak it a little bit, still. I think the tail shadow is honestly one of my favorite parts lol. For some reason it just clicks for me.
