In the story The Sour Grapes Chronicles http://www.fimfiction.net/story/710.....pes-chronicles the Night Pony Earshot decides that because his homeland of Stygian Cove lacks 'Structured Education' like the rest of Equestria it's part of his ambassadorial duty to take part in the social and educational experience known as public schooling.
Earshot is a little hesitant though, as with many of his new experiences he is fearful of how others will react to a strange pony with bat parts.
We also discover that Miss Cheerilee has a long-time fear of 'Vamponies' that stems back from her own childhood.
It's a tense moment but Miss Cheerilee very quickly discovers that rather than the creepy, fearsome creatures of her nightmares, Earshot is polite, respectful and downright adorable.
I think that Foxenawolf http://www.furaffinity.net/user/foxenawolf/ has really caught the moment here.
