here's feral tox, not a different form of anthro tox but rather a different tox entirely. though he's more his own character, he's the one i usually draw when i'm doing vent art or just doodling my feelings.

so down to the real info: tox is a shapeshifter, but he's limited to canid forms; not only that, but he always has the same color scheme from form to form. so while it's not as useful for blending in, it does give him a host of unique abilities, especially when he learns of fantasy creatures that technically qualify as "canid".

his default form is a black-backed jackal with an unusually large and fluffy tail (he prefers his tail that way, if his form permits it). if he has an "original" form, no one knows what it is; whenever he shifts "back" it's always to the jackal.

his name isn't what it is for no reason - tox is no normal animal, and not just because of the shapeshifting. his blood - a viscious purple goop - is actively toxic to other creatures, usually to lethal levels. his saliva, also purple, is a watered down toxin that one can build an immunity to, but generally it's still harmful.

additionally, he is capable of producing a different substance in place of his saliva at will; it's a bright, glowing green, and highly acidic to the point of being able to eat through most materials.

in short, he's dangerous. good news, though - he'd rather play around and have fun than kill anyone. he's rather eccentric, and always willing to play up the 'crazy' angle with anyone freaked out by him, though in all honestly he's pretty cunning. he's also incredibly loyal to anyone he considers a friend, and if they get hurt, whoever did it is going to be in a fatal amount of trouble.
