Yeah. Quick summary: Clockwerk encountered a member of a race of time manipulating aliens back in Egypt (or whenever Sly's lineage first started) and followed it back to their base of operations. He then used their technology to keep striking at the Cooper line, generation after generation, until his injuries from repeat battles left him unable to time travel anymore, leading to him finding Dr. M and persuade him to build the robot doppelganger which could be controlled remotely.
Basically it was my attempt to explain how the same Clockwerk was able to survive for thousands of years and how his robot version could likewise endure until the events of Sly 2.
I ponder if somewhat at Sucker Punch picked up on that since Sly 4 sort of dances around the same issue.

??????: what the!? A copy of clockwerk!? The doctor M. Built a 2nd clockwerk!? what's next he's gonna a unexpected guess comes in the room?! Can someone get that monster out of that mack and i think it's daja'vo allover again... (well almost but with doctor m. Controlling that!?) hopefully nothing goes worst but i smell a gigantic battle coming...
