Hmm... Where did I lose you?
Jheronimus van Aken (of Aachen) Den Bosch (the forest) -- Generally known as Hieronymus Bosch -- was a 15th Century Dutch artist. He had a rather... surreal take on his work. Much of it was religious in nature; but it was on the bizarre side. He did include a number of characters we would describe as 'furry', and many of his anthropomorphic creations were grotesque. Large, hooked noses were common on the faces of the evil ones.
