Little Natasha plants a new tree in her backyard, trying to make it prettier and more forest-y.
This was an impromptu commission at Midwest Furfest 2008 from the obscenely popular Marci McAdam. I had the idea for this badge bouncing around in my head for quite awhile, and on Sunday afternoon (the last day of the con), I happened to walk by Marci's table when there weren't any other people standing around it. I asked "You probably don't have any open spots, do you?", and much to my surprise, she said she could get me in for this one if I wasn't leaving the con right away. She had it finished right before the dealer room closed, and I love it!
Drawn by my all-time favourite artist Marci McAdam.

Well yeah, that was kinda the point, I wanted something unique. Everyone has the "waving at the camera" Marci badge, and lots of people get the "my character dressed up like the latest popular movie character" or "my character dressed up like the con theme" Marci badges (pathetic and unimaginative ideas, in my opinion, but whatever floats your boat). I wanted a badge that actually fits my character, and this idea (which was originally going to be a full-page piece) happened to fit well in badge form. And, I really like getting art that hasn't been done before by a ton of people.
