This was an idea I've had written down since Anthrocon 2008, but I really wanted Marci McAdam to be the one to draw it, and I could barely get in for a badge for my new babyfur character at that con, so something like this was out of the question. I got to her right away at Midwest Furfest 2008 (a new con for me), though, and she did a wonderful job.
Natasha Softpaw takes Fox_Cub out exploring in the woods for the first time. She's always had a strong love of nature, and now she has the chance to share it with someone new. "See that, foxie? It's a caterpillar, and someday it'll be a butterfly", she says to the wide-eyed little cub, carefully holding his paw.
"It looks like a worm!", the little fox says, giggling and rapidly wagging his tail. He holds tightly to Natasha's paw, a bit overwhelmed at all the neat things in the forest. He looks over the strange creature curiously, afraid to get too close, "If there's a butterfly in there, it must be awfully tight!"

Yeah, I don't use that fursona anymore.
I do have one other picture pending from MFF that features both of us as cubs, and one that I'll be getting at Megaplex that's another parent-cub picture. And, I recently wrote up another idea that's similar to this one, which will probably be a between-con commission

I am happy to see that there can be some art work about a mother and her kit that does not involve sex, incest, or anything else of that nature. This is just a sweet picture; something that really happens on explorations and I love the way they are posed; looks like a photograph pose.
That's a nice change of pace. I don't mind porn in the least bit; some artists do great jobs with that subject, but sometimes a good sweet picture or just something different is so much better. This is a perfect example of what I mean. It's a darling picture and personally porn gets repetitive. ^.^ This is fresh
