this was the very first time i drew tox; i used actual jackal reference so he wasn't quite as stylized. still had that huge tail tho

fun story: tox's design was heavily inspired by an avatar i made on wolfhome, back when i very briefly used it. i liked how expressive the jackal was so i selected it with black and green as the colors, and i liked the result so much that i adapted it into a new character design, which would eventually become my current (and favorite) fursona.

he hasn't changed much since then, design-wise; i still really love the colors and general pattern. my art has changed a lot, though
