Seth - god of the red sand
its seeeth. again ^^°
But this time i put a bit more time in it <,<
So...Since seth is the god of the desert, destruction and chaos i feel very grateful to him (rotarr is a desert dragon).

But...painting is not my strength^^° i have to work on that o_o (colors and stuff...i have no idea what i am doing, when i paint something)
And...Somebody see the connection between SETH and SATAN?
It sounds so similar <,<
Because of that, i gave him a goat muzzle ^^~

So...here a few infos ^^~
1.) Seth is NOT a goat. And i don't meant him to be. (but the goat was an animal sacrifice for seth) I just draw this, because its pretty (in my opinion, and i just draw a goat muzzle!). But~ Seth isn't a jackal neither!!
In lather times Seth was linked with the donkey. But originaly he is an imaginary creature.
2.) Red is the color of Seth
3.) Seth isn't just evil! He protects the people who live in the desert an he is the only one who can fight (and win) against the snake Apophis.
4.) You can spell his name Seth, Set, Setech, Setek, Setes, Sutekh, Sutech and Suty
5.) Seth is the son of Geb and Nut, so he is the brother of Osiris, Isis and Nephthys
6.) There is A LOT more information around seth. so...google it ;D

oh and about the similarities between seth and satan:
satan was an angel who rebelled against god and thus became evil.
seth was the nationgod of upperegypt. but after egypt united he became ruler of the unfirtile lands. and became an enemy to the nation.

So...I know the backgroundstorys of these two ^^ I just mean...The Hebrews were in egypth at the time of ramses...so they could possible take some parts of their religon too. And...as we all know: Satan is a mixture of Pan and other gods from different religions...(but the Christians did this...not the Hebrews...nor?)
Ah...btw. Satan and Lucifer are not exactly the same thing ;D Its just Christianity who mixed them all up ._. ( Oh god. i hate Christianity. <,< AH PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!)
So Lucifer is the fallen Angel...and Satan the Evil that exists equal too god (but...i think i just can't say this so absolute...at some parts...the ARE the same.)

ah ic, thnx for explaining that ^^ i'm not religious so i don't know much about the origin of it all.
but i am interested in ancient egypt :D
yeah it's so annoying that all those religions change it, or have their own versions of it XP

Ok now the egyptian religion that set, or seth comes from came before christianity. however, christianity was born into the same culture, while this religion was in effect. as such many things in christianity were based on the original egyptian religion.
seth is actually the evil god, pretty much as evil as you can get... which is why hes associated with satan. seth was the one trying to take the sun every morning, and it was ra and bast's job to keep the sun safe until it was across the river.
Ok now the egyptian religion that set, or seth comes from came before christianity. however, christianity was born into the same culture, while this religion was in effect. as such many things in christianity were based on the original egyptian religion.

But it wasn't christianty who "based" on the egypt religion...the Hebrews where there at this time the anciend egypt existed. And religion is a "transforming" thing...so i can understand why they mixed at some parts..
Christianty however just take the parts they liked from the Judaism and change it in the sh*t (sorry ._.) we know nowadays.
