This is really a work in progress, I want to eventually do some engraving on this piece, which is a Nordic ax from Kult of Athena. Don;t really remember who makes it for that good company but it is very high quality for the cost.It came with black paint on the metal and with a little bit of sand paper then hard use it all came off and using a little bit of grease keeps the rust away. I want to wrap the handle and maybe carve something but not sure yet.

The sheath you see there is truly not done yet, money is going in too many other directions to use on this project. It still needs a buckle then it will be done but finding the right look (i want something nordic, this is going on a viking themed costume) and it still alluding me at the moment. I want to do a little embossing or even burning designs but am still not sure how to do that yet.

Menegion is "Thousandth Son" in Tolkien elvish, it is a reference to one of my favorite fantasy (in this case Scifi) worlds. the Thousand Son's legion of Warhammer 40k. This beauty is going to be mated with a seax which I am having made by the talented man at Badger Edge but I will show that and tell it's name when it arrives and i can drool over it.
