This is second version of the proposed new submissions comment alert system...
I thought the original was fine, but too many people were bothered by the clashing color scheme... I think purple and orange can go together..but apparently everyone else thinks its bothersome to look at...so fine.
The original version of this was coded before IMVU bought FA, So you don't see their third party as banner at the top. But if need be, a single banner can be added at the bottom, like some other pages here have.
So..What is this page ?
You know when you see a message at the top that tells you people have commented on your submissions? When you go to it, it gives you a list of the different users and what submission they commented on. But you need to click on each one to see the comments.
With this program, it channels all recent submission comments to a single stream. (Newest on top, oldest last) That is sort of like what the list does already, except now you can actually see what they said instead of having to find it urself.
(List entries will also display which submission they commented on) To respond, or view the submission just click the light purple bar over an entry (I may add something like "to view submission click here", but Idk yet.
The program itself hasn't changed; same beta-styled image placement, both stats for site traffic, and the users' are visable at the top right. The only difference is the lack of bright-orange, replaced with dark purple at the top that becomes slightly lighter as the page scrolls down. So, I'm still sticking with "dragoneer purple" lolol while the extra orange would have better matched the Ferrox logo, it turned out looking pretty cool this way tho! The original program is quite complex, thankfully just the appearance could be altered without having to re-code other parts of it. Lol. Also u may notice the original comments are there, that's cus I didn't re-run this online
Regarding the general concept of easily viewing comments;
What do you think? Good idea, bad /suggestions?..etc.
Let me know in the comments!

Yeah it's only for comments people leave on submissions.
HOWEVER! , it wasOriginally supposed to funnel ALL COMMENTS,that is : everything sent to you,
(but NOT private messages)
This *would have* been your journal replies, when someone else replies to a post you made somewhere else, and messages posted to the users' shout-box.
That would have really cool! And a major accomplishment in terms of designing an application that could seriously improve FA and have users not be mad about slow progress or whatever. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do it.
The amount of programming required to make it work (in the way I imagined) was just WAYY to complex to completly figure out. Experimental Tests barely ever worked, even when they did it was just partially, like only finding comments from one area.
The problem was. I couldn't come up with a way to link all the different comment feeds into one, then have them appear in chronological order, each with a link to different area. I realized it was just not possible to do unless the site was entirely re-programmed to work that way. Otherwise, nothing was compatible with the sites software.
was able to do it with submissions, because the current alert system is already programed with a simpler program that can collect names of submission commentors. Even tho it just collects the names, and the links to the submission where the comment came from, i thought it was an awesome model I could tweak a bit to collect more things from the same area (name, origin, And the comments + user icons! )
So That was just enough of a foundation to build upon, but use for a more advanced comment stream. FA did the most of difficult parts (Formatting) a blue print for "how stream list programs like this" would work to show different info. :)
So I used it as a model while adding many new parts -but the overall formatting Is extremely similar to what FA originally had, simply because their program worked, and is connected to the same area. So why would i bother to re-invent the wheel?
The FA version is a very easy-to-understand code, but it is innovative, and idk if i could have figured it out on my own. BUT I have done some seriously awesome projects for this site (and a ton more work than what many of other admins on here)....errr.... no offense guys! :p hehe
So theres the updated software, and this epic purple-page design! Hehe!
It would be SO awesome to see this in effect! (Maybe one day, when other users actually like the new designs I come up with. Most people have HATE them recently)
that's why I re-styled this one. People said the old one hurt their eyes.... ( of course I still stuck with a purple color theme based on dragoneers' fursona! Lol )
unlike this program, didn't have any help with The FA Folder system, (which is an FA-intergraded program allowing users to create folders, and add art to them). Effectively, you can create multiple sub-galleries each with different themes. The Folder system is for organizing both your Gallery, and your Favorites folder. It took a while, but I coded that one from scratch Lol, and Users have wanted something like that for the LONGEST TIME! Lol.
Sadly, it seems my colors and page re-designs are too "radical" for some people..no matter how efficient the software is... People don't want it if looks like how I made it. Which saddens me...

Looking at both versions, this one looks better because you are not using so many 'basic hues' at the same time. There should be more brightness contrast between the purple and the orange above the comment feed… probably make the purples less saturated. The SFW button should keep its own saturation and brightness but change its hue to that of the background of the comment section.
