This is... as I just noticed someone else commented.. hauntingly beautiful. And although my heart goes out to the cat in this picture, I must +fav it on its sheer artistic beauty. The interplay of light and shadow is fantastic, and the full power comes through without a drop of color. Wonderful piece.
This reminds me of what I saw when I went to the zoo here. I live in China, and unfortunately most of the zoos here have deplorable conditions for some of the animals. It was pretty hard to see.
But on a lighter note, the detail on this is astounding, just like on your other work. I don't know what else to say aside from, "Amazing!"
