the little wing like fingers on their back have no use of flight even thought it might look like it.
They loose eyesight when they have learnt to control the gem in their stomach.

Certainly wasn't expecting a wolf-like creature to come out of this. When the egg adopt came up, the first thing that popped into my mind was Dark Mind with how the horns and eye were set up. At the same time though, your description of what the creature is is more close to me than you think it might be. Spiritual beings whom protect the balance of the world. That in of itself is something I adore and is something that I have in some respect strongly within my Twilight Dragon sona.
To be honest, I like how this came out, even if its presented form appears as a wolf. There's a part of me that wants to modify it a little, but I can't honestly say what it is what I'd want to change.
