I guess my influence of using anthropomorphic characters comes from many types of works(cartoons,games, films, TV shows, books) featuring them.
And I decided to add my own twist to combine them with the history of the Jewish people and Arab people as well as the larger realm of middle-eastern history in general but with respect and dignity and not to insult or degrade them as a race or to mock their beliefs. These illustrations help with the process of world-building and revealing more of the universe my stories take place.
