Just finished after a long and hot day grinding.
The steel was very slightly shorter than the paper pattern, so I adjusted it to fit.
I also discovered after making the paper version that originals usually had a slightly more hooked fingerguard, so I altered it slightly before cutting it out.
Making the grip area was the hardest.
The area was too tight to get the bench grinder wheel into, so I had to do a ton of hand filing and dremel work with a tungsten cutting bit.
Beveling will be next, and this will likely have quite a bit of thinning of the blade near the tip end to adjust the balance.
This one will be for sale.. The slightly longer one I am setting aside for myself.
