If suggestions are open I'd be happy to make some over time, I can think of a few that might go well with the big, strong and usually prideful angle.
You might want to take a look at some of the stuff ire-k has tried. It's mostly pokemon but I think some of the themes and simplicity of scene might be appealing to see if you've got some similar ideas of your own.

I'll take a look around for characters that seem like they'd go well with your themes so far and have some difference in anatomy for practice. I already see some examples in what you've down before, I think this armor coming off thing goes quite well with the notion of bringing the tough guys down a peg or two (using cute means).
