Just be sure you don't choke or suffocate! And pie in the nostrils would not feel all that comfortable, either.... *nibbles on a slice of pie, savoring the flavor appreciatively, certainly not a messy eater in any way* I prefer to enjoy my pie slowly so as to make it last longer and get the most out of the flavor, because food always taste better when you give yourself a chance to taste it. That's how I grew up, from what my parents taught me.
But then it will be gone before you even get to taste the full flavor! You'll never be able to fully enjoy it that way! Your taste buds are not in your stomach (or your lungs for that matter, so don't even bother trying that!). You can't have cake and eat it too, as the saying goes, but you can make it more enjoyable by making it last. This is true for all things in the universe.
I'm a bit like a food connoisseur, because I take the time to study and appreciate the flavor of anything I happen to be eating, and I enjoy a very wide variety of different food, including Mexican, Chinese, Russian, Italian, Vietnamese, Indian, and Japanese delicacies. My sense of taste is finer than most, as I can tell the difference between natural and artificial flavors, and the best meals most often have very complex flavors that truly stimulates the senses and excites the mouth.
(Sorry for the nerdy lecture; sometimes I get carried away with stuff like that)
