However, I must say this is VERY helpful for someone like me who only uses light and dark feathered brushes. It's an improvement to my technique. Now if only I could figure out how to do it WITHOUT the need to purchase a tablet .......

without a tablet it is really hard! I start also to use only a mouse. but since 2 years I use a Aiptek table (almost god as a Wacom but cheaper) and now I don't can color anything with mouse XD
if you really want to color at PC think about to buy a small, god tablet - it's worth it ;)
