This is where I am so far. Having trouble getting the handle to stay and stop breaking in half.

Any thoughts? Its killing me haha.

what are you using for the handle? the issue might be in the materials.

I made a foolish mistake and used two smaller dowel rods to make it and now no matter what i do to fuse them together the bottom part breaks off. :/

scrap the handle totally and redo it with a single thicker rod if possible. The details can be paper mache'd into place if needed. Making the handle out of two rods almost guaranteed a break :(
