Seems being a stripy Zebra pony wearing a goth/punk-themed outfit really does stand out, so much so that the (officially EuroFurence approved) media decided to chase after me for an interview.
The interview, by "Das Wochenmagazin Fur Berlin - Zitty" or simply "Zitty" (http://www.zitty.de/), was perhaps a slightly bizarre 45-60 minutes moment of my EF convention experience.
Some of the questions asked was not a surprise, in fact one can almost feel they were trying to "steer" you towards certain responses. Yes, "those obvious questions about furries" were thrown at me.
What you will see published was perhaps... taken slightly out of context, and a case of "lost in translation" seeing as I don't speak German (the interview was conducted in English, obviously).
I'll let you be the judge of the actual article.
Below is a "rough translation" from German to English, courtesy of Google Translate and corrected/touched up by a friend who speak German natively.

THE ANIMAL IN ME
The Eurofurence is the largest European annual meeting of furries. Derived from the English "furry" the term stands for people who like to dress up as animals or anthropomorphic beings. Now the pack invaded Neukolin.
Impressions from the petting zoo.
- Zukari
I love stripes and black and white outfits. In this costume elements from my punk and Gothic-theme have been incorporated, such as the blue strands and the rivets.
I think that's great, because it is different and because I am fascinated by anthropomorphic characters. My leather corset has nothing to do with sexual preferences. This is an eternal prejudice about the furry community.
All think Furry is a wicked sex thing. It is possible that this is true of some. But most simply just like to cuddle with fluffy-minded and are otherwise perfectly ordinary people who meet a few times a year at events.

It is ever thus. I think it's in the original "Day the Earth Stood Still" where a reporter is asking people what they think of the spaceship / alien guy. One person says something like, "It might be OK... maybe he's here to help us out", and the reporter quickly loses interest and starts talking to people who have upset or angry reactions.
