Introduction:


A females voice can be heard echoing throughout Lycans realm, his ear flicks hearing “Lycan~” He turns his head towards the Earth’s portal “Hmmm?” He steadily gets up and goes to the portal, looks at it for a second then trots through. He then looks around a grassy field, right, then left his eye catching a woman with a yellow umbrella. She lifts it up revealing a young girls face, her hair a golden blonde, and her eyes an innocent blue. She smiles and says “Hello Fluffy, you miss me?” His eyes widen in surprise to see none other than Dawn.


Chapter One: Reunion


The wolf wags his tail and runs to her, leaps, knocking her to the ground as he licks her face. “Yes I did!” “Ok boy, ok!” she giggles as he gets off and wagging his tail “So why did you call me here?” Her smile fades to a frown a slight tear in the corner of her eye. “Because, since the last time you were here, some top secret government officials took over the town and kicked out every citizen” She points her finger to a large factory “not only that, there are rumors that have surfaced that they are experimenting, but by what I’ve seen It can’t be any good. Will you help me get back our town?” Lycans tail swishes thinking, looking at the far off factory in disgust. “Very well, but howl will we stay hidden once we make an entry?” She shrugs “The only way to know is to get there, I guess.” They smile at each other, then the 10 ft. wolf follows along side her towards the fenced in town a humorous size difference between the two.


Chapter Two: Entry


They arrive at the gate and look up at the 30 ft high wall. She looks up. “Now how to enter? hmmm...” Lycan smiles softly and crouches down slightly. “Hop on” “You sure? How will this help?” “Yes, and you’ll see!” He smiles wagging his tail as Dawn nervously climbs onto his back and hugs tight around his big neck. “Now wha-!?” She squeals as Lycan suddenly leaps high into the air, Dawn hugging tightly around him. They stop at 100 ft up in the air. “You ok?” She nods eyes closed “Did we land?” “Nope!” “Wha-!!!!” She screams as they plummet to the ground at 60 miles per hour. Upon landing he left a massive crater. “....Now we landed.” She shakily gets off and lightly hits his muzzle “Don’t do that again….even though it was fun…” she mumbles then looks up and around at the crater. “Great...now they’re gonna know we’re here you goofy dog, and how are we even supposed to get out of here!” She says annoyed as Lycan looks sillily at her. “Like this!” He walks to the craters wall and phases through it only to appear at the top, Dawn gets angry. “Why the hell didn’t you walk with me through the wall in the first place?!” Lycan rolls around laughing “Because, I can't make others phase, just me!” “Ugh!! Now get me out of here!!” Some vines snake down and gently scoop her up and drop her off at the lip of the crater Lycan Smiling playfully his tongue slightly out, Dawn even more mad thinking why he didn't do that in the first place. “....now lets go find a shelter before they spot us” They begin to walk away Lycan bounding playfully around her like nothings wrong at all, she looks at him with a questionable look. “Why are you acting so weird!?” he stops and continues to walk beside her, his tone serious. “Because I simply missed being around you.” “Oh, ok…” She smiles then proceeds to look about, she suddenly gasps “What is it!?” “My house!” He quickly looks to what's left of it, the exterior dirty and some of the windows smashed. “Well not too much has changed…I believe it’s a safe place to camp out” She nods and they walk into the blackened house and make their way to the living room and sit on the couch, Lycan on her lap and Dawn almost unable to see over him. “Jeez you’re so fat I can’t see around you!” “I’m not fat!....I’m poofy” He barked back, a serious look on eachothers face as they stare at each other then bust out laughing then Lycan reverts to his 2 ft. tall pup form and curls up “Better?” she softly smiles petting him, looking at his collar. “.....Yes, very….my little Fluffy….” They soon fall asleep on the couch happily reunited.


Chapter Three: Intel


The next day they wake up with a big yawn Dawn sets Lycan to the side and leaves to her room and gets dressed into clean clothes, when she gets back into the room Lycan is patiently sitting on the couch. “You ready to get some intel?” “Ya!!” She opens her arms giggling at her pup as he jumps into her arms as she puts him in the neck of her zip up hoodie, his front paws hanging out and his head just under her chin. He smiles up to her, tail wagging in her jacket as she makes her way to the door and opens it slowly to a bright morning, looks left then right and dashes to the right making way towards downtown the large factory in sight over the houses.


She runs and skids suddenly right into an alley between a grocery store and a salon, she then hides behind a garbage bin and peers out watching a group of black dressed men running by, a big 51 on their backs. Lycan looks up at her with a small cute whine, Dawn quickly pets his head “It’s ok boy…” She then continues to watch intently at the passing group. Their walkie-talkies go off and a deep voice echoes through their radios “Return to factory, experiment needs containment.” The man in front lifts his to his mouth, pushes the button “Yes sir”, puts it back into his belt loop and turns to the group “You heard him men, return to home base!” they turn around and march their way back to the factory, Dawn watches quietly. “I wonder what experiment….” she looks to the giant factory as flashes of bright light exit through the high windows. “Something is not right….we have to get in there and see what's happening!” Lycan nods to her as she gets up slowly and heads back the way she came.


They get to the house and enters quickly shutting the door behind her. “Now we need a plan so we can get in there….hmmm” She sits down on the couch unzips her hoodie, places Lycan beside her and rests her chin on her hand. Lycan raises a little paw “I might have an idea…” She tilts her head and shifts her body to face him. “Ok lets hear it!”


Chapter Four: Infiltration


“Ok!” he wags his small tail then continues “First we kidnap one of their members then we knock him out, take his uniform, I dress in it and you pretend to be a captive!” He swings his paw up excitedly but then falls to his back clumsily. Dawn laughs scratching his belly “And how will you wear it? You’re not even human, silly!” “Well….” He murrs while having his tummy rubbed “When I was experimented on they mixed my DNA with that of a humans and you get this..” He poofs to human his eyes white, hair bleached white, short, and groomed in a gentlemen's fashion. Dawns eyes widen following her arm realizing he was in the nude. He smiles innocently to her “What's wrong Mum?” She quickly turns around blushing bright red hiding her face “LYCAN DAMN IT ALL, WHY DIDN’T YOU WARN ME!?” He goes in front of her “What's wrong I...don’t understand?” He tilts his head and kneels to her height looking her in the eyes. She hides again. “LYCAN PUT SOME DAMN CLOTHES ON YOUR NAKED!!” “I am?” He looks down calmly. “oh….what's wrong with that I’m always “naked” in my wolf forms?” She facepalms herself and starts to explain why.


“So it’s because people think it's unnatural to be like this?” He looks at her very confused "Humans are soo strange" she nods turned away and waves her hand back to him "Can you change back please?" He turns back to his usual wolf form and slowly lays across her lap, she smiles and pets him from his head to his back smiling "Silly boy..."


Dawn and Lycan suddenly lift their heads at the sound of a group marching by. They look at each other and smile “Ok Lycan, lets do this!” They go to the door and let it creek open, two men in the back notice this and go to investigative. One nods to the other and pushes open the door with the gun. Dawn and Lycan quickly hide behind the door watching them enter. The men go forward towards the couch and hall on the left, kitchen on the right just before it. They peer behind the couch as Lycan sneaks up from behind and Dawn shuts the door quickly from outside a little flash can be seen.


Back inside the men lay on the floor, electricity surging through them to the ground. Dawn squeals happily “We did it! High paw!” Lycan raises his right paw up above his head, as Dawn’s hand meets his. They laugh for a bit before getting serious. “Ok boy now lets get you dressed up!” His ears flatten as she takes the clothes off the men and put the two in the closet, Lycan freezing the door behind, then Dawn slips the cloths on him . Lycan shakes his paw loosely the shirt flapping about the cloths looking rather silly on him, so goofy that Dawn busts out laughing. Lycan frowns as she starts to settle down. “O-Ok boy now turn human.” He shrugs and turns to human; the clothes neatly over his gentleman like appearance. He walks clumsily to her. “UGH THIS FEELS WEIRD!?” Dawn tries her best to contain herself and looks at the other uniform “Looks like we can both be playing dress up…” she starts to change Lycan covers his eyes to not see, a bright red blush across his cheeks. “Ok boy you can look” He looks at her and smiles. “Ok now we are rea-” Just before she could finish their walkie-talkies go off “John, Bill what's your location?!” Their eyes get wide as Lycan lifts it to his lips. “Were investigating a building with possible citizens that were left behind, but it turns out to be a negative and we are regrouping now.” The device beeps back “Understood over and out.” He shuts it off and they sigh in relief. “Ok boy lets make our entrance” he nods and they exit the house the closet, behind them slowly melting.


They catch up with their group and blend in perfectly steadily making their way to the factory, two men at the tall barb wired fence nod and let them pass, heading to a large slightly rusted garage door, it slowly opens and they enter their eyes wide in shock. They look up and around at the very large space that feels bigger than it appears outside, the room filled with giant tubes filled with a strange liquid, submerged in this are human like forms with different wolf parts on them. Lycan growls angrily hearing them in wolf language saying "Kill me..." "Help me...." "Save us...." "Mommy...." Along with some blood curdling screams of pain. He then looks softly to his hand seeing Dawn grabbing his right hand in fear. He calms and pats her hand as they advance through the freak show with the group. They pause at a horrifying growl and slowly turn right to see a man with the right side of his face a wolfs, hairless tail, and a wolfs left leg. He looks angrily at all of them as they pass. Headed to a door they see big machine facing a woman on the right in terror and on the left between two clips holding some black and white hairs. It fires with a blast of light. The hair gone and the woman is replaced by a hideous creature, most of her body of a wolf except her right arm and right side of her face. Dawn squeals at this, but quickly muffles it as they enter the back room.


Inside their group joins up with another much larger group into a rectangular formation. They all look up at a large plasma television turning on, a man with a large scar over his left eye clears his throat and says in an authoritative voice “Sixteen hours ago at the South Gate there was a sighting of Patient Zero making an entry….” as he says this the camera zooms out and shows Lycan landing and leaving the massive crater, when the shockwave hits the camera it reads “Signal Lost” “....It is believed that he is somewhere in the area along with a human for reasons unknown…” the camera rewinds just before the impact showing Dawn on his back, but very blurry, then the screen switches to an image of Dawn similar to that of a drivers licence. “....So far we matched this identity to that of a Dawn L. Rose. Upon further research she has had contact with Patient Zero….” The screen switches to the news feed of Lycan leaping from Dawn’s house and running to the woods, police right behind. “....It is in our best interest to capture her at all costs so we can complete project Alpha. and use his DNA to perfect a new race of humans! Move Out!!” The screen shuts off and the group of two hundred or more split up and go in six separate groups going in different directions to doors leading to the outside. They follow their group eyes wide and shaking with disgust, they pass a large metal box and dive behind it out of sight. Lycan points to the air shaft and they climb up to it and enter shutting it behind them and sit against the walls facing each other Lycans eyes and hers remain unblinking, Dawns mouth opens and closes a few times before gathering her words. “W-we have to stop this….” Lycans eyes starting to turn red from pure white and nods, Dawn shaking violently he grabs her hand and his eyes recede back to white. "It's ok....we'll stop this I swear on our immortal lives!"


Chapter Five: The Wolf's Promise


She slightly smiles and ruffles his smooth white hair. “Ok, now we just have to take this place down….but how…” she looks down through the vent at the scientists below and the numerous failed experiments her eye catches a man using his I.D. to get into room labeled “Control Room” he sits back up and smerks widely “I have a plan!” he tilts his head a little concerned to her. “Ok lets hear howl we are going to get rid of this place!” He listens in and smiles listening to every detail. “Ok, sounds great when do we start?” “As soon as its dark and the scientists are resting, then we will put our plan into action!” They lay down and watch the people below silently as the night creeps in.


The lights turn off and Lycan’s pure white eyes shoot open, fairly visible in the blackened duct. He nudges Dawn and she slowly wakes up with a little yawn that is quickly silenced by Lycan’s hand. She nods to him and lifts up the vent and they drop down onto the stack of metallic crates and then proceed to drop to the floor. Lycans ears flick left and right listening for any sounds as he slowly makes his way to the control room with Dawn on his left. When they arrive at the door Dawn tries to turn the knob only to find that its locked. “Ugh!!” Lycan gently moves her hand out of the way and gets his hand near the knob, every time he got his hand closer the metal would melt and drip down the door burning it in the process. He smiles to her and she looks at the door with the big burnt hole where the knob used to be, then pushes the scorched door open and they walk inside. “Ok boy, lets cause some havoc!” Dawn rushes over to the massive keyboard and starts to push buttons very randomly as Lycan tries to hold in a laugh and breathes on the keyboard a frost quickly forming over the system. Before long an alarm sounds and the whole building pulsates a deep warning red. They look to each other, nod, make a break for the rooms door, and stop suddenly in their tracks wide eyed staring at the large room filled with soldiers aiming at them. Their hands quickly clasp together.


Chapter Six: Danger


Dawn whispers to Lycan “Do what I do” She puts her hands slowly behind her head and Lycan does the same, and from the back of the mob a mysterious laugh can be heard and a man steps through the group to the very front, the same man that made the earlier announcement. He claps his hand slowly together “Bravo, bravo. You did exactly what we had planned from the start of this project.” The red lights suddenly stop before he puts a hand to his face laughing, Dawn and Lycan glaring at him, then he begins to pace. “We knew that you had contact with…” He gestures to Lycan “Patient Zero and from the leftover reports of previous attempts to capture him we gained a good knowledge about him, including his weaknesses…” He points to a man and he fires at Lycan, and almost instantly begins to squirm on the ground in pain, Dawn tears up and screams at him “Stop it you're hurting him!?!?” “...along with what he cares about…” He shoots Dawn in the leg and Lycan yelps out louder in pain as his leg begins to bleed instead hers, her eyes widen along with the man’s. The bullet frozen in the air centimeters in front of her leg. “Looks like he has really attached himself to you, no matter….I always get my way…” The man releases the steady sound form Lycan. Dawns vision suddenly goes black upon the leader rushing up and bashing her in the back on the head “......D-Dawn!” Lycans eyes beam blood red at the man as he huffs, winded. Dawn is dragged away as he watches a tear rolls down his cheek. The leader nods to the soldier that was shooting at Lycan, he quickly goes to him and knocks Lycan out as well. His eyes close only hearing his maniacal laughter.
Lycan slowly opens his eyes with a few blinks back in his wolf form, sits up looking around dizzily. He finds himself in a box made of pure plastic, airtight, with ridiculously large sound cannons pointed at it. A voice suddenly speaks from the shadows. “You move or do anything suspicious and those high frequency cannons will fire at you all at once, but thats not all…” The decorated man with the scar steps out of the shadows and pushes a button on a console across from Lycan’s cell. Two doors simultaneously open revealing Dawn strapped to a 45 degree angled table and a fusing machine pointed right at her. “...your friend will also get a taste of your power” He walks to the cage grinning, then knocks on it. Lifts his hand and shows to him a vile of Lycans blood. “Now I have what I need to make project Alpha go into its final steps...” he kneels down “....And its all thanks to you…you stupid mutt!” he laughs as he walks away. Lycan smiles widely his tail swishing as he lays down calmly.


Chapter Seven: Lycan’s Brilliance


Lycan yawns then lays to his side lazily looking to Dawn as she looks to him in fear and slight anger. “Lycan w-we have to break out of here…” He turns away and smiles his back to her. “...HAY ARE YOU LISTENING?! HOW CAN YOU BE CALM IN THIS SITUATION!?” Lycan chuckles. “ Because I already knew that something similar to this was going to happen so I made a plan just before we were knocked out.” Dawn tilts her head slightly. “Huh?” He huffs a little "If I wanted to I could easily get you and me out of here..." "THEN DO IT!?" he sighs "Ok, ok...." A drop of water falls from Dawns hand and hits the ground, quickly changing to Lycan and rips the restraints off with ease she hops down and he takes her out of the room and in front of the plastic box her eyes full of surprise. “H-How?” Lycan looks at her slyly. “Earlier I made a clone from water and simply stuck it to your hand when we held hands and saw the soldiers and because this is similar to a past event that I do remember well.” The clone puts a paw to the cannon and sends a large bolt of electricity through them, one at a time, shorting them out. Lycan’s body bursts into a wolf of pure fire melting the box, while the clone turns back to water. The water flows through the air and is absorbed into his body then sits, the flame extinguished. “Now I believe it is time to destroy this place do you not agree?” Dawn nods “Yes” They run to the left to the end of the hall and exit through the door, ending back to the giant room with the experiments. Lycan listens to the cries of pain and torture gritting his teeth and eyes turn to a sudden blood red. Dawn backs away a little scared as the ground beneath him starts to raise up in chunks. He walks towards the lab equipment, every large piece gets crushed into an inch ball on the ground once it enters his 20 ft. radius, along with the experiments. Dawn watches from the back of the room against the wall. A laughter arises from the side Lycan is headed to, a shadowy figure steps into the light.


Chapter Eight: Desolation


The man with the scar over his left eye, again appears a leash at hand leading to a wolf with similar features to that of Lycan. Its sad gaze fixed away from them, a black muzzle on it as it proceeds to sit. The man grins evilly to them “Now you two we can do this the easy way or the hard way, but remember no matter what you choose I will still win!” He laughs as Dawn notices that Lycans eyes are wide and watery in disbelief that before him is another elemental wolf, but female. Lycan slowly goes to them drawn in by the female, Dawns eyes widen as she run to him. “Lycan no, don’t, shes getting to you!?” She hugs him tight to stop him but is quickly repealed away from him with electricity and slides across the floor, then slowly tries to get to her feet. Lycan snaps back at her growling, eyes red, Dawn screaming to him. “Lycan Stop!?”


He doesn't listen as he continues to the two his shaky appearance stating that his mind is in ruins as he goes to the young, ghastly, female wolf. The man suddenly says with power “Ok my pet, lets rid the world of Patient Zero, so nobody can stand in my way ever again!!” He pushes a button in the loop of the leash and the female yelps and shoots three spears of ice at him. Lycan quickly snaps out of his trance and creates a flaming wall in front of him, melting it before it can make contact. The man snaps at the female wolf and hits her on the back of the head “Kill him you mutt!!” She growls as she turns to face Lycan a shadowy glow emitting from around her. Lycans eyes go wide and bounds to Dawn and curls around her protectively. Suddenly a sound of a bunch of water hitting the floor. Lycan and Dawn slowly open their eyes startled to see the man standing there, eyes wide open coughing up blood, a shadow stalagmite piercing through his chest from his very own shadow. “W-Why….I was so close….” It recedes back to his short shadow, and he falls to the ground face down. The female stares at Dawn and Lycan and slowly starts to go towards them, Lycan growling and fur standing on end as Dawn hides behind him.


She walks about halfway then collapses, exhausted from using too much energy. Lycan lowers his head to Dawns stomach level and sniffs the females side his tail slowly wagging. He turns his head to Dawn and smiles creepily “Lets finish this….” Dawn nods and rushes to the control room and pushes various buttons, alarms beginning to sound and meters on the wall spiking to maximum som gauges break as she starts to run out “Come on boy we gotta go!!!” She runs to the door as Lycan picks up the female in his maw and begins to run alongside of Dawn she squeals every once and a while as flaming debris land close to them. Lycan and Dawn make a final leap through the bright doorway.


Chapter Nine: New Ties


Dawn and Lycan are in the house, lights off as they are found kneeling beside the female wolf as she slowly opens her white eyes, a black pupil in the center, unlike Lycan. “W-Where am I?” Dawn gently pets her side. “You’re at my house sweetie…” The young female looks away and flattens her ears. “I’m sorry that I tried to kill you…” “It’s ok, it’s all over now and that evil man will never bring harm to you…” pats Lycans head. “...or this goof either.” She tries to get up but falls, Dawn catching her “You need to rest, your still very exhausted….” She continues to pet her. “...What is your name?” The wolf looks at Lycan as inspects her “I don’t have one…” Dawn puts a fist under her chin thinking then puts it back to her side. “How about Rogue? Since you rebelled against that man and saved our hides” She smiles brightly to her as the wolf’s tail slowly wags “I like it!” Lycan smiles then lays down beside her his head resting on her side, covering most of it from her much smaller size. “And if you desire you can stay with me for as long as you desire, and i’m sure Lycan will love to have a daughter!” Lycan nods then realizes what she says. “A DAUGHTER?! BUT DAW-” “No buts! You are going to train her in using her powers and look after her, after all she is still a pup.” Rogue giggles then closes her eyes to rest. Lycan and Dawns gaze looks to her and smiles sweetly then looks back to each other. “Ok boy you have to get along with her ok?” Lycan looks away slightly, Dawn gently turning his face to her looking each other in the eyes. “.....Yes master Dawn” They smile then continue to watch the sleeping pup.


A few days pass until the next week, Dawn and Rogue in the doorway watching Lycan walk away. Dawn shouts waving her arm to and fro “Bye Lycan, be a good boy!” He smiles back to them seeing Rogue wave her paw bye to him “Bye-bye daddy!” A little tear forms in his eyes “Be good for Master Dawn!” He waves his paw bye back to them and opens his portal to his dimension. His eyes get a little wide then soft looking down to see Rogue hugging is front right leg with her paws. Smiling he leans down and licks the top of her little head and picks her up by her scruff being half his size and brings her to Dawn. “Don’t worry I’ll be back.” She licks his cheek. Lycan smiles, then turns around and runs through the portal which vanishes to a cloud of smoke after his tail goes through. Dawn still holding Rogue smiles and begins petting her, turns around and goes inside the home stopping in the doorway at a sound of a large crash. They turn around and see the wall surrounding the town collapsing, then proceeds to go inside and close the door behind them. The scene black Dawns voice echos “Don’t die Lycan, you have someone who looks up to you now…”
