This is my attempt at a sort of a dark, abstract piece. It was the second installment in my 'Mob' series. Three jackal gangsters menace the downtown streets of a leaning city; gangsters represented as jackals (very fitting I think of the American mafia of the nineteen thirties and forties). I believe the car with the lights on in the background really adds to the sinister look. The piece was inspired by some CD album art from the band Five Iron Frenzy as well as my affinity for furs in suits and the swing era of the 1920s-40s. Look FIF up on Amazon.com and try to find the album, "Our Newest Album Ever" and you'll see how this came from that. The materials uses were a pencil, a pen, and my computer.
