Not that I fully understood that but yeah I posted it to Fchan, after all it is a great place to showcase good art and it is not the first time I've thrown one of Max's pieces up against the others on that site. They have gotten some praise there too, so he can be proud and he never put himself on their DNP list so I did not figure it was an issue.

And please dont pokemonize them, theres a lot enought stolen animal concepts already... Like this creature, I read in wikipedia that the concept was based on the Japanies Kitsune myth... also evee or I dont know what is nearly looks like a Fox...

Umbreon is a mix of Bunny and Fox to be percise and Eevee is essentailly a Fennec. As forr real creatures in Poke'mon is that A) Then they could not copywrite them, and B) That just would not be as interesting + you would have to explain why they had powers while being otherwise mundane.

In nearly all tribal myth, there are animals with supernatural powers. Like the Kitsunes who can trick the humans by there illusion magic. There are Fenris the greatest Wolf who got stronger and stronger each day, till the gods of the Valhalla tricked him into a trap where he laid till the ragnarok/the end of the time of gods/... Or theres a lot of Native american tales about animals who did not got any supernatural powers, they "just" had some kind of virtue like the brave Wolf or the patient Spider who waits till something flys into her web....
SO Theres a lot of old folklore about animals, that has something to teach to the younger generation...
