[3D] Meditation (Remake)
[Theme]
Wanted to go for some kind of tribal-ish style of image. I can't recall exactly why I went with it. Might have been simply what came to mind with the available props. Also wanted to use the regular Jaguar texture and the forest setting seemed to contrast quite well. ^_^;
[Art]
Tried rendering this over a dozen times the past two months, but could never get it right. Either it took 20+ hours and still looked heavily artifacted or took much less...while also being heavily artifacted. So I caved in and just rendered with Daz's default 3Delight Engine, which is much weaker, but faster. After that, some postwork practice in Photoshop, like the previous image. Also tested using some brushes specifically for postwork...but need much more practice, since they look -incredibly- artificial at the moment. Let me know what you guys think about brightness and such, as I've had people mention the renders were looking too dark before. ^^;
[Media]
Daz 3D, custom model (Zbrush), Textures from RawArt's Catworld (modified with Autodesk Mudbox), Background is Stonemason's "Mystic Forest: Rainy". Additional rain effects from "Wet, Sweat & Rain" shaders.

I'll be using this "template" for future images as well. Blame it on my category-organizing OCD. x3

Much awesomeness. I like the way it turned out, nice to be able to see what is happening, as you said, a lot of renders I've seen tend to be quite dark. The only thing I'm undecided about are the water spots on the lens (I assume that is what they are) They're a nice touch, but to some degree not needed either, so I'm still undecided about them.
