Here's an example of what I was talking about for the species thing. I drew inspiration for this one from this:
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4unUYeyer....._5299896_n.jpg
traits for common:
All of them have the light grey/darker grey eye and beak whisker floofs and the color shade difference, no matter what type it is [bird type]. They usually go with the actual size of their normal avian counterparts, though there are some sizes ranging from bigger to smaller than usual in some cases.
Males:
The males are generally smaller than the females and have shorter eye/beak whisker floofs. They also tend to be more timid and a lighter color.
Females: The females are generally larger than the males and have longer beak/eye whisker floofs. They are also more aggressive [usually territory or mating season] and have darker colors.
Traits for uncommon:
Males: Being as big as or larger than the females, bright or pastel colors and longer floofs.
Females: Being smaller than normal, grey scale/unnatural coloring, shorter whisker floofs.
Traits for rare:
Males: medium sized, white, black, gold/silver coloring, very short or very long floofs, colored eyes, being aggressive.
Females: very small sized, white, gold/silver, bright/pastel/unnatural colors and very short or very long floofs, being timid, colored eyes.
Common traits: Unlimited
Uncommon traits: Unlimited
Rare traits: Two per creature if you use them please.
I still need a species name. If anyone has any name suggestions, let me know! I'd love to hear them.
