mainly its a 'glitching' affect, purely visual, however most of the time they are within electronic devices, and will often glitch out their current habitation, which can get pretty bad, such as making touchscreens completely inaccessible, so on. i'm still tweaking the idea. ^~^;
Me saying that reminds me of Henry Molaison . They had to remove part of his brain to stop his epilepsy. After they removed part of his brain he was unable to form new memories. He woke up everyday thinking he was the same age and date even when he grew old. From what I can remember he thought is was the year 1953 everyday until he died in 2008.
