Since September is my latest 'sweeps month', I had chosen an appropriate work of comic art to post on Labor Day, 2015 - my first one since 2007, which I celebrate unemployed - in the form of another "Colorized Encore".
Originally appearing in a 1996 issue of "Rowrbrazzle" (the 'funny animal' APAzine), this comic gag is somewhat autobiographical, as I'd based the scenario on my RL situation in the job market. In the 20+ years I'd been living in south Florida, I still had not been able to hold down a full-time job for more than three whole years...
My autism was a contributing factor in losing most of my jobs, as I would react (or, in most cases, overreact) to ludicrous situations I had to deal with at each gig. Among the jobs I had lost - due to my attitude - were 'bag boy' at a supermarket, 'telemarketer', 'janitor' at a condo complex, 'toll collector' on a bustling highway, and even official work for the City of Margate (where I live). And now, looking for another job - in my early sixties - is about as easy as pulling chicken's teeth!
Therefore, it's only fair that I present a color version of my "Attitude" comic gag - so you can see some of the red in the eyes of my bobcat 'fursona' (partially out of anger; partially out of lack of sleep from 'pounding the pavement' all day long). Besides the colors I'd added to this work, I'd also enhanced the text in the dialogue between 'Rob Cat' and the 'Personnel' representative (a grey fox, with greying blonde hair).
If you still want to see the original black-and-white version of "Attitude", go to this link:
