You've finally been cornered.
You can't remember how long you've been running from him, only that your gut has been screaming at you to get away at all costs the whole time. You're not even sure where exactly you are anymore; there's a cliff behind you, a dark haze all around, and a gaping chasm in front of you, where gigantic purple hellbeast gleefully trudges in your direction. The ground shakes with every thooming step, and you find yourself struggling to keep your balance as you try to catch your breath.
The creature finally approaches, so large that even while he stands at the bottom of a canyon his neck still towers above you. You look to your right, to the path you took to get here, but a titanic hand quickly grasps onto it, blocking your only escape route. You stare at him in fear, your eyes drawn to a person-sized cage hung on a golden chain around his neck like a gargantuan pendant.
"Ah, interested in this, are you?" The creature's deep voice booms. He reaches for the cage and holds it up to your level. His fingers are each far thicker and longer than your whole body, and his claws hover dangerously close to you as he presents his trinket.
"A fun little accessory of mine. One of my favorites, actually," he announces coyly. "But right now, there's something missing from it, wouldn't you say?"
He leans in closer, licking his chops as his smile grows wider.
"Let's fix that."
I had originally planned to include this render in Hellfarch's reference sheet, but I liked this particular one so much that I decided it should get its own picture. I'm still learning how to use RenderMan and its material shaders properly, so hopefully any and all oddities and artifacts (like the bad specular) will go away in future works.
