I went to take a walk in a local park to scout locations for a fursuit photo shoot and I found this little tiny squirrel, injured and struggling to breath. The little guy was so small and cute I couldn't leave him there to die.

I went back to my car, grabbed a plastic tub used to hold my jumper cables etc. and scooped him up. Knowing fellow furry  shadowrunner1 works at a nearby Petco, I took him in to find somewhere to take him.

The staff at the store gave me the name of a place to take him, and a blanket and heat pack to keep him warm overnight in case the rehab wasn't open.

After bringing him home for a few minutes to give him some water, comfort it (it was so soft) and take some pictures in case he didn't make it (I figured the pictures could be used as references by artists here, thereby giving some meaning to his life)

I took him to the local wildlife rehab (http://www.wrcmn.org/donate.php) not sure if he was going to make it as he was barely moving and had short rapid breaths. I think he knew where we were because as soon as I shut the car off, he started squeaking like the dickens and trying to get out of the box.

I think he'll be ok.
