Let the war on christmas begin...

You kidding? Walmart near me already has had an ornament display out for almost a month already.

Where I used to work, one year the xmas stuff came out a week after the 4th of July.

As a unloader at Wal Mart.. I can attest.. the day Sept 1st rolled by.. in addition to the ton of halloween stuff we had been getting together, I nearly crapped myself when I saw the first christmas tree show up on the line... "Seriously guys.. no freakin' shame at all.. "

And my Assistant Manager wanted those same trees on the steel as soon as possible too.

Nuuuuu...

What a glutton of a holiday it just devours everything around it.

It gets to be too much. At least WAIT for October people. Ah well, it's like the how 'black Friday' is now 'Screw workers Thursday'

Well I mean, getting Labor day off is nice, not that I do because I am a chef, but you know. :V

As for christmas stuff being sold early its crazy, but as a chef or restaurant owner, you need to order christmas stuff in June already.

Here in South Africa I've already spotted a few shops with the Christmas decorations out. This keeps up, and they'll be offering Christmas specials in April.

I swear, next thing you know it'll be xmas in july.... oh, wait...

Christmas already? They can't wait for the day after Halloween? And, oh yeah, we also have Thanksgiving. *rolls eyes*

Over 2 decades ago: SAM'S here in Westchester NY had one Christmas tree and one snow blower out in the middle of August. At least the rest of the seasonal stuff came out n mid October. This year: Halloween stuff came out in the middle of August everywhere (all stores), late fall clothes were out at the same time (temps at or below 15C), all fans are gone despite the continued hot weather (except Staples o.o). So far I have not seen any Christmas items.

Pfft, and the Halloween displays went up right as soon as the 4th of July sale was over with.

Right now, all I've seen of Halloween is candy (which, with our muggy weather, will be stale and melted by the time October rolls around). No costumes or other stuff.
