Hah. This came out awesome.
You beautifully captured the look of Karpenter, and I totally love his posture and expression. I can't help but imagine him having unexpectedly been swept up by that thick, slimy tongue, only to now realize that his only options are to allow the monitor to swallow him down, or to try to escape and risk being chomped on by those sharp, pointy teeth. :)
The Blue-Spotted Tree Monitor itself, came out gorgeous. The look and pattern to the scales is amazing, with the coloration being fantastic. I also love the detail and colors to the eye, and the way you captured that thick neck, which can easily just gulp down even larger meals. And of course, the tongue is simply wonderful. A beautiful look of slimy, fleshy muscle which if not for the danger of being swallowed, I'm sure Karpenter would find rather fun and cozy to wiggle on top of. :D
