this is me every time I try to pick up the pen
felt like drawing some stuff of my character today because I barely do that
I don't know if this is just a 'me' thing, but whenever I start doodling my character I just subconsciously start drawing out the emotion I'm feeling
and that is how this happened

You look so adorable. I love your expression here.
I also think more artists should do something like this whenever art block hits. Just draw the panic and frustration of feeling that art block. It may not be what you originally intended to draw, but at least it is getting something drawn.
I also believe it's good for artists to draw their emotional state from time to time. I'm sure it's a very cathartic release to do so, especially when so much time is forced to be spent drawing the emotions that other people want to see.
As always, keep up the great work that you do.

Thank you so much! <3
It wasn't what I originally intended to do but something about capturing the feeling really helps, haha. It just comes naturally.
Definitely cathartic! Honestly, that's what most of my personal pieces are inspired by - Emotion that I'm feeling.
I appreciate your comment, man. Always helps to hear kind words.

Usually, I stare at the ceiling for patterns and draw from that.
You could stare at people, things, and put what interests you in your drawings.
OR you can read a newspaper, one of the worst things is to draw your character doing nothing, if you have a theme, a direction, everything else can follow.

I know the feeling. Right now I'm working on a comic story, and I'm stuck. I'm trying to think "Where do I go from here?" And then I doze off because I do my best drawing at night, and I'm still getting used to the schedule of the Fall semester at college. I figure that maybe I can paddle down the Stream of Consciousness for a while and see what washes up on the shore. That usually tends to work when I'm stuck. I find it's a good starting point...
