Actually hybrids are not that much of a problem imo, some designs come out quite well! Oh, and then there's your average *insert random animal*-horse hybrid that for the horse part only has a certain feature xD

Teheh, thank you for clarifying that first bit about hybrid character design. ^.^ As to the certain part-horse hybrids... guess the reasons for people to choose a certain Sona do vary a lot. Depends on where their focus lies, so to speak. As long as it works for them... ^.~

I actually love hybrid characters as long as they're made well and not randomly, like mixing a hundred animals together without a meaning for it (and then maybe draw them as a simple animal with 1-2 different feature and nothing else anyway) xD
I just laugh at THOSE horse hybrids, but yea, anyone can do as they want as long as it's their choice xD

I'm of the opinion that if you can make something unoriginal/overused into something more or less original, then you're even better than those who go straight for the original. Then again, even if you go for a plain design is no one's business but yours :D

It's not a matter of overused, I can't stand people who criticize me for being an Umbreon when they are wolves, foxes and other overused animals, telling me I'm "unoriginal"... This kind of discrimination is absurd, everyone should be free to use their fursona as they want, but someone likes doing drama for stupid things...

Yea, I understand that. The point of having a sona is to represent themselves, so one should just stfu about this kind of things, especially when you see people who irl are fat ugly nerds having body-builder heartbreaker sonas and that kind of things <.<

Yeah, I know, personally I've got a fursona who's myself as a Pokémon, who has got glasses like me irl, who's pretty chubby like me irl, and its personality is like mine. I don't need to have a fursona who's the opposite of me... It would have been useless.

I mean, people can still make their fursona as their ideal self and some people don't even have a fursona who represent themselves, but the "stuf" thing is still valid, both for and towards them xD
