Cheem Guidebook

Cheems are aerial creatures that live in the world of dreams.
Their existence predated the humans for many millenia. Eventually, human beings were born, and within them, the power to visit the Dreamscape, the world of dreams, in their sleep. Shocked at their appearence, many creatures of the Dreamscape simply ignored the humans. Yet the Cheems saw the pure wonder and awestruck natures of their human visiters and slowly opened up to creating lasting friendships. Once a cheem-human relationship is established, your Dreamscape adventures will be led by your cheem and your cheem's health in the human world will depend on your care...


When you adopt a cheem, he/she will follow you into the human world. Although others will be unable to see your cheem, they are perfectly real and perfectly cuddle-able. :heart: Falling asleep while cuddling your cheem is essential for its health and for it to accomplish its tasks for taking care of you in the Dreamscape!

Physical Attributes

:bulletblue: the most easily recognizable cheem trait, the fruit cheeks, depends on the type of cheem and affects its specialized abilities in the Dreamscape

:bulletblue: cheems do not have feet and (rarely) walk! Their bottom "feet" are their Dream Wings, which allow them to manuever in the Dreamscape. These vary in appearance and size. Their upper wings are connected to the real world, however they beat with all four most of the time. These usually vary only in size.

:bulletblue: the cheem's back "tail" is the fifth wing, the source of the Cheems' dream powers. These vary in appearance and size.

:bulletblue: In the real world, cheems stand about 14.5 inches tall (bum to head) and 9.5 inches wide (across that bottom-heavy heft, excluding wingspan)...the perfect cuddling size :heart:

:bulletblue: In the Dreamscape, the cheem has total control over its size....


Cheem Types

Cheem types are recognizable by their fruit cheeks. Each type corresponds to specialized powers in the Dreamscape.

:bulletyellow: Lemon Cheems
Specialize in locational dreams! Depending on the cheem they excel at creating any architectural creation-from bouncy castles to gingerbread houses to haunted manors. They also love long walks on th-just kidding. Cheems can't walk. (although some like to curl up their dream [bottom] wings into little stubs that they can waddle around on)

:bulletorange: Orange Cheems
Specialize in human forms. Yes. These cheems love to take on human forms to show you around the Dreamscape.

:bulletpink: Strawberry Cheems
Specialize in showng you the things you love. Although they may get it wrong sometimes, oftentimes what they show you ends up being correct.

Although humans can only visit the Dreamscape through sleep, the extent of the Cheems' abilities is unknown.
