So I had a -completely- different idea in my head for most of the day. When I finally sat down to draw, my mind graduately jerked me around until I caved and went with this idea instead; dangling above Khael's maw.
Extreme angles are fun to come up with, but for me difficult to execute. Everything you learned on how to draw muscles come into play, but it hardly ever is explained from angles like these. Quite a challenge!

Now, close ups are never fun for dragons. They're usually not that photogenetic with those snouts and whatnot. Khael is no exception. But I suppose looks ultimately don't really matter when they're about to drop you between their jaws and swallow you down.
Guess he picked you from the lot in his paw! (Hooray for stick figures). Maybe next time you stay in your car when a giant approaches. *Is reminded of yesterday's image* Oh. Or not.
"You're being such a sweet little morsel, I bet you're delicious. I can't wait to taste you on my tongue and devour you whole. Aaaaa..~"

everything you post about this character makes me swoon more. more than just the character himself or the excellent perspective and muscle work, but the pure joy and emotion you put into this picture. youve gotten really good at portraying moods and emotions with your art, which is something i feel a lot of artists either neglect to learn or never develop properly.
Oh boy. I knew I'd get myself into a sticky situation like this sooner or later, ha-ha.
Pleeease take it easy on me Khael. I twisted my lower back muscles a couple of days ago and I don't want them to get any worse. Maybe if you lay me on your warm tongue and breathe all over my body for a few minutes, they might start to feel more relaxed and less tense before the tasting begins<:]
