As I was uninspired to do anything else tonight, here's the next character study, this time of Marvin.

As per usual, lots and lots of photo reference, though poor Marvin has to remain anatomically blank, since I have absolutely no idea what boy martens look like under there and there's no refs to be found, but it's not like that's the important bit.

As written above, he's a beech marten, a species native to Europe and parts of western Asia. With three years, Marvin is reaching the avrage life expectancy for his kind, though this is largely due to the fact that a lot of martens end up dead by human intervention, be it for fur or as the result of an accident.
Make no mistake though, martens have a lot of natural predators aswell. Both Tobur and Percival are potential candidates in that category, along with Anelie and many others of the forests hunting kind, which is among the reasons for his opportunistic and brash character.

He's a good soul though, if a little unrefined and despite his annoyance with Myra, he respects Tobur's position on the matter enough to leave her alone.
