The ribbon dancing pole made me think of Sylveon almost immediately.

Also, I take it Kate is referring to her boss when she mentions someone who doubts her skills. Let's see, she's not only a Pokemon but she's a full-grown Pokemon raising a human boy rather nicely. What else? Oh she's perhaps the one legitimate marsupial Pokemon and Kangaskhans are known for having young ones in their pouch, not eggs. So yeah that boss is not only delivery a platter of Tauros sh*t but he's being...specist? Or maybe just racist. Here's something I'd like to tell that boss, and no offense to the Pokemon this is just a pun:
