I honestly don't like how this came out but then I put way too much time in it to NOT post it so
Do you ever get halfway through drawing something when you reliaze that you don't like it at all but you're too far in to quit otherwise all that wasted time would have been in vain

Not sure; probably the coloring honestly.
I wanted it to come out colorful (as it did), but the farther I got the more I felt the outer characters should have been shaded darker, like with the main one in a spotlight or something but that wasn't the original intention...and that would have been even more time wasted on something I didn't want to do and ...ahaha yeah
Just the whole set up feels off. Not because it isn't how it was originally intended, but because it didn't come out right.
IT LOOKED BETTER IN MY HEAD, as the old saying goes ahaha. I only didn't realize it until the end

I have some ideas that may help get your idea across, but I don't want to make you go back and work on it more haha
the piece looks good though. I feel like if you used darker but saturated shadows, it would make the whole piece pop more. I am sorry it didn't turn out how you planned, but practice is practice and not necessarily wasted!

Even though it isn't clicking for you, it's still really nice!
Everyone has great expressions, I really love the composition and energy all the characters have.
But no, I know this feeling all to well. Unfortunately for me when I feel it, I usually just drop the picture and never return to it ever again. ^^;
