'Playbow' Husky Drum
10" drum, deerhide over a pine frame. I am showing the back this time (since I get asked about those a lot!) - this is a simple style back. I also have drums with a much more complex backing and double-sided drums that have side lacing instead. Yes, I made this particular drum :)
Sold at the MFF artshow 2008. I'm so happy it found a good home! And with husky owners to boot!

They're sealed so they're actually very playable! I've got one I've had for almost ten years that looks new, and I know a few other people that paint them and seal them the same way and haven't had any wear. Some I've seen that have been in use 10-20 years have mild fading in the center if used constantly but if they're handled carefully beyond the drumming they are very durable!
