Hey, you know if you say "Up Yours" to the whole wireless thing and just plug the laptop into the router directly this internet thingie works a helluva lot better?
Well, hell... it WAS fur a minute there... *grumbles*
Anywho- I'm back from a wonderful Thanksgiving with wonderful loving furry folks in Texas. I drewded this and a few other things while I was there. *beams* It started in a funny way, really. I just happened to be hopping on YIM to wish the ever-snugglable SkylorForsythe a happy birthday. *sheepish grin* I inadvertantly ended up wishing his lovely lady Crys the Hybrid a happy birthday... Hey, how was I supposed to... anyways...
These lovely folks just up and invited me to spend Thanksgiving with them. A time of loving and togetherness with those closest to us, our family, and they invited me, someone they'd never really even "met" per se. That's an incredibly touching gesture in anybody's scorebook, I'd say...
I had a wonderful time, relaxed, recovered, laughed alot, cried a little... but that's nobody's fault there... my baggage... and I met some great new friends, gathering memories and smiles that'll last me a lifetime.
The protectiveand caring, ever well-coiferred and always quick to laugh-

Taillone The deceptively deep and soulful lady, as full of compassion as she is beautiful-

FoxxWolf And their other roommate Brian, who has no icon I know of... but is an engagingly cerebral conversationalist and a sweetheart in his own way, whether he believes it or not.

I'm glad that you had a good time while you were there hun, and had a chance too get away from all the shit and pain in your life if only for a few days.
Spoke with Skylor a little while you were gone, and honestly, couldn't think of a nicer fur too keep you safe and welcome while you were there, can understand now why you like them so much as furmily, all seem like really nice n caring people

Oh indeed... I'd be hard pressed to find ill to speak of such wonderful furry folks. There were some interesting... *chuckles* interesting, yes, times to be had there. Skylor's birthday shenanigans, curling up on the floor in an environment I felt comfortable in, visiting the big-ass mall, traversing "Gay Town"... some boys done whistled at me dere... Not to mention the amazing dinner at Merlot, Paul, and Corsi's place... oh dear lord and holy fried hell... I could've died in a pile of those potatoes and known there was indeed a God and a heaven, and that bastard makes mashed potatoes there. Thank you Neon...

I'm looking into how Christmas is going to work with work. School break is huge, like four weeks, but the lab is tight lipped as to what days they'll be giving us off fur Christmas, if any... *grumbles* Butt-eatin' crumb bum sons of... any who... *shakes hir head*
You know, now that I think about it unless Usagi is just being a beeyotch.. *laughs and rolls hir eyes* It's not all that big a drive to make, and I'm off Sunday thru Tuesday every week.... *ponders* This just opened up a whole plethora of possibibilities....

Mah family of fur is all furry hun. *smirks* This much I made common knowledge long ago on several different images and journals. SO yes, that is true.
However, I only placed Skylor and Crys in the image as 1) They are a loving couple and it made fur a cute image. 2) It was a gift to them specifically, I left the original with them. 3) They were the ones who had initially invited me, refurring to me as "family" so it only made sense that the three of us would be in a "family portrait".

People do change quite a bit over time. Well... If theyre healthy they do. *laughs* Over the years I've removed or thought of removing quite a few images from my gallery as they no longer represent me or my worldview.

I often hear this, yes. I discount this reasoning for multiple reasons, though mainly because I already have that catalogue of my art and my growth as a person on a few flash drives at home- so no need to leave it up here. If I want to remind myself of my past style or growth as an artist I can open the folder any time.
The main point being that having changed as a person, I don't see things the same way and there are many people, ideals and beliefs I no longer want to be associated with or endorse, so it would be irresponsible -if not hypocritical- of me to leave the images up.
Good example being that I was raised in a very southern baptist home, with all the wonderful stereotypical southern trimmings that many assume that comes with, from racism to homophobia, transphobia, sexism, the whole shebang. When I was a child, despite being what I am, I still made all the jokes, laughed at all the horrible things. If I had created artwork of those images and put them up here, being a responsible adult who is no longer any of those things, I would take them all down- as I've no desire to express those sentiments to the world. Thus, I've removed many things from my gallery for the same reasoning.

Oh that is certainly very understandable as to why you would want to take them down! I was raised catholic believe it or not, but then after growing up and out of it, it started on the road to what I'm currently traveling now. Thankfully anything on here was well well after I already grew out of it and became more of who I am.
