I want to see Claudia redeemed in some way. Besides, part of the reason Roland was chosen is because he has a sense of chivalry. It would be Renard's wish for Claudia to be saved, and if fulfilling Renard's wish requires Roland saving Claudia instead of his old benefactor... well it would be the knightly thing to do.
But yeah... this was an interesting chapter. Much faster pace than I was expecting on the realization of Roland's godhood. Not to mention some insight into the history of the empire. I look forward to seeing if any other gods show their heads in this story; I'm a sucker for complex cosmologies far more than huge bulging biceps, so my brain is already going haywire theorizing all the different ways divinity might work in this world.

but seeing someone get hit trying to protect you can be a humbling experience and empowering experience. I mean Gohan wouldn't have gotten confident if Piccolo didn't die in front of him protecting him from Nappa's attack. I believe that A is a good opportunity for character development
Yes, but it would only work if the character either has strong' ties to that person, or if the character has the very foundation of her core challenged.
Gohan was already deeply attached to Piccolo at the time in the sayjin saga and becoming more confident was the bulk of Gohan's entire character development for the anime's run, but here Claudia still despises Renard, and thus is just as likely to simply gloat at his shriveled state than be moved by his sacrifice. There hasn't been much dialogue or implications that she's begun to reconsider otherwise prior. So my outcome would be completely in character for her.
Claudia getting zapped means she has to confront her own philosophy as she's now the very thing she loathes.
For someone extremely haughty, this is far more impacting than scenario A.

true, but her world is already shaken, cause a slave she thought to be worthless turned out to be the God of the Strong. I mean we see more of their relationship in the last chapter when they both slip out what happened between them and had an accidental kiss - I think. She also saw her men, who she hand-picked to be the strongest in her army, turn into weak, skinny forms that could barely lift a sword. I also believe that this will be another attempt of Renard to be the bigger man and this could be a chance of redemption where she could make a choice to stay with Renard, even though he could turn small and weak.
