When I was a kid, all I needed to explore the world was a cardboard box and my imagination ^^

I loved small spaces when I was child and always wished I had a box big enough to fit me. xD I had such accelerated growth I was pretty much able to wear my mother's clothing by the time I was ten. ^ w^;
Even to this day though, I love boxes~ Precious picture! You can see the happiness and excitement in those eyes~ :D

Because it makes me realize how much i miss that ability... today, exploring the world needs to have fancy graphics, good audio, a captivating narrative... i preserved a bit of it by telling stories and playing p&p rpgs... but honestly, as a kid, the whole world is a wonder, another mountain to claim, another miracle to discover..
as an adult, it looses so much of that. Another example: as a kid, you are afraid of the monsters in the shadows. As an adult, you learn that the most dangerous predator out there is other humans. Once i had learned several and mastered one martial art... i stopped being afraid of shadows altogether. Only then i realized that the world had just become boring, and the gas bill or doing the taxes were the scariest things left in my life.
This picture brings back a lot good memories, and makes me realize how much i've lost since then...
