Basically my mom and friends don't like to pump their own gas cuz they don't know how,
Also here in NJ youre not supposed to pump your own gas

O_O.....well........yes, that actully explains it very well. Though I'd still love to know how dangerous and complicated it was to fill up on gass in the 50's. I've never seen a gas station in my life taht was anything but self serve

I kind of wish you could pump your own gas in NJ because I hate talking to gas station attendants, but I guess that would nuke a lot of jobs.

I hear that! most of the attendants no speak english most often they rip you off too.
