Commissioned from
Ryuumajin. Thanks so much!
I enjoy using Tarot. It's diverting and sometimes helpful at putting things into perspective. So when Ryuumajin was going to be doing a series based on the Major Arcana, I snapped one up. :D
Out of them, Temperance most embodies me from everything that people have said about my personality. According to the tarot book I use myself, Temperance represents moderation, having patience, the ability to compromise to find satisfactory solutions, diplomacy and cooperation, and balanced emotions. It's a card of successfully integrating opposite forces.
In his take on the card, he did me preparing teh tarik, a Southeast Asian tea drink made of black tea and condensed milk. In order to finish the drink, you decant it back and forth between two mugs to create a frothy top. Over time, the preparation has become a bit of a performance. Part of the draw is to show that you can do it from great distances, holding one very low and the other very high, spins, behind the back, etc. Pretty cool, and some time I'll try making it, sans the tea all over my kitchen walls. :D
I was glad to be part of his project, and I hope you like his work too. Thanks again!
