More or less! With oils there's a lot of dabbling because its so easy to blend the colors, but yeah flat colors, and then building up values as you figure out what works and what doesnt.

If it doesn't work, wipe it off with a cloth, and even then you might see something that you like and paint it from there.

He was my original starter and will always be my most favorite Pokémon ever.

Totodile is giving him a run for his money though. I'm playing a non-Gen 1 Pokémon game for the very first time at the moment.

Squirtle was, and he evolves into Wartortle. I'm kind of referring to the Pokémon and all of his evolved forms as one.

Thanks uwu its too bad about the Dr.Evil style facescar on his .. face, though, I had to redraw/reposition his eyes too much and previous iterations had left raised bumps in the canvas. I guess I could have shaved it off with a knife.
