Ozzy is an ancient character of mine, one I came up with when I was about 11 or 12. He's supposed to be a lion, and originally he was drawn in a comic strip for the Maryvale Preparatory School newspaper, since their mascot was a lion. (Maryvale is an all-girls Catholic school that I went to for almost 2 years before being pulled out towards the end of 7th grade and transferring to a public middle school.)
Over the years, Ozzy became shorter and less lion-like, looking more like a dog. He used to be a central character in a comic strip I wrote from 8th grade all the way up until my Senior year in high school, called Lizzie's Meadow. It was pretty much a blatant rip-off of Bloom County, and out of all the characters in the rather sizable cast, Ozzy was deemed salvageable, along with his friend Parasil, who was an aardvark with an umbrella for a nose.
Occasionally I like to draw him, usually looking gloomy or nervous, with his eyes looking less Garfield-ish and his mane longer and bigger. Here he is with Death, who is following him around, and spitting worms into his chocolate milk.
Zombie Dog might be related to Death. I don't know.

Yanno, when I saw "Ozzy" in the title, and then saw Death's "Are you going to finish that?" line, for some reason my brain immediately pictured Ozzy Osbourne with a bat's head in his mouth and Death pointing to the limp bat body in his hand.
.... guess I was off but regardless, I liek this Ozzy fellow *nodnod*
